UAE Labor Card

Since UAE authorities no longer issue physical labor cards, you need to download and print your card if you want a hard copy. Here’s how:

1. Go to the MoHRE Website: Open the MoHRE website.
2. Click on ‘Services’: Find and click the ‘Services’ menu at the top of the page.
3. Select ‘New Enquiry Services’: From the drop-down menu, choose ‘New Enquiry Services.’
4. Choose ‘Print Electronic Work Permit’: Click on ‘Choose A Service’ and then select ‘Print Electronic Work Permit.’
5. Enter Your Labor Card Number: Type your labor card number in the ‘Work Permit No’ field and click ‘Search.’
6. Print Your Card: Click the ‘Print’ option at the top right corner of the page. Download the card and print it.

This way, you can have a physical copy of your UAE labor card.

The cost to issue or renew your work permit varies by company and ranges from AED 250 to AED 3,450.

The UAE labor card is valid for two years, except for government employees, whose cards are valid for three years. You can renew it for the same period if both you and your employer agree. Be sure to renew the card within 50 days after it expires!

If your employer doesn’t apply for a new labor card within 60 days of your entry to the UAE, they could be fined AED 500. Working without a permit can lead to additional fines.

To check for any fines on your labor card, visit the MoHRE website. Follow the same steps as you would to print your card, but instead of selecting ‘Print,’ choose the ‘Fine Calculator’ option. Enter your card number to see any fines.

Need to renew your labor card? Make sure to do so within 50 days from its expiry date at the Tas’heel center. You can easily track your application status on the official government website—just enter the IN number from your application receipt. Once processed, your new card will arrive within ten days. If you need to modify your labor card, visit the Tas’heel center where changes are typically completed within a few days. Just be sure to bring the necessary documents and reasons for the change.
